We Will Remember Them

Tomorrow is Anzac Day.  Although for some it will just be a bonus day off in the middle of the week, it is very heartening to see that these days more and more Kiwis are choosing to go to an Anzac Day commemoration – in many cases getting up even earlier than on a normal working day to attend a dawn service.
At a time when there are not many old soldiers from World War Two left it must be very heartening for those who are still with us to know that even those born many decades after the conflict ended are taking time out during the day to remember those brave men and women who fought, and in many cases made the ultimate sacrifice, so we could continue to live freely in this beautiful country of ours.
