Our advisers have many years’ experience of working with women from all walks of life. We have built financial plans and investment portfolios for successful female entrepreneurs and executives, as well as women ‘in a life transition’ who find suddenly themselves in control of their family’s finances.
We understand that each client is unique. Our aim is to truly understand you and your family – and build a financial plan and investment portfolio based entirely on your values and goals.
And when your circumstances change, we are always there to help support you and realign your plan to your new situation.
As qualified advisers, we know the journey to financial empowerment and peace of mind requires each of us to go through a series of steps – and make a series of good decisions. The reality is that many Kiwis just don’t know what these steps are and, without guidance, can make decisions that can actually result in a backwards step.
We developed our ‘Stepping Forward’ framework as a way of helping women see a clear, step-by-step pathway to a better future. We help clients feel like they are always heading in the right direction, and avoiding those bad, costly decisions.
Here is how it works:
Where You Are Now
One of our advisers will meet with you to get an understanding of your current situation, what you value in life, and what you might be looking for. Where possible, we like to do these meetings face-to-face over a coffee – but we always work around what is convenient for you.
What Do You Want?
Everyone we work with has different goals and objectives. Some want to grow their wealth and build an empire! Some just want to ensure they have a reliable income stream going forward. Most want to know what sort of future they might be able to aspire to (including retirement) and how much they could help their children and family.
We make sure we truly understand what you want, and how quickly you want it, before we begin building your personalised plan.
Creating Your Plan
When we know what you value, what you’re trying to achieve, and how quickly you want to get there (while still being able to sleep at night!) we can begin to build the ‘nuts and bolts’ of your plan. This plan doesn’t have to be entirely focused on investments with Cambridge Partners – it’s your plan, and you always have the choice of where you want your money to go.
Your adviser will meet with you to present your personalised plan. This plan will incorporate what we consider the best strategy for you, your situation, and your goals. It could suggest creating a diversified portfolio of investments while you continue to work for another five years. It might suggest holding off on giving your kids some money while you build up some assets. It may tell you that you can afford to drop everything and spend the next six months on a beach in Tahiti! Everyone’s plan is different. And, most importantly, it is entirely your decision as to whether you agree to move forward with the plan.
Putting Your Plan In Place
When you agree on the plan – maybe straight away, or maybe after a few tweaks – your adviser will go ahead and create your investment portfolio, as well as help you implement other aspects of your plan. This might include connecting you with our professional network to help with areas you identified during the planning process. For example, we might help find you a good property lawyer or a business coach we think you’d get along well with.
The Never Ending Step!
Your adviser will continue to support you, update you, and guide you into the future. As situations change, or you want to alter your goals (maybe you do want that empire after all?!) we’ll help you realign your plan and ensure you’re always stepping forward into the future you want for you and your family.
We’ll answer any questions you have, and (if you’re happy to proceed) look to set up an initial no-obligation meeting to get things underway.
We offer a no obligation review of your situation.
Our series of real-world case studies will help give you a full understanding of your investment options, and how different strategies are suited to different situations, goals and timelines.
You will also gain valuable insight on how our advisers work with their clients to achieve the outcomes they are looking for.
