Market Update: Fourth Quarter 2020

Why did the markets continue to perform despite all that is happening in the world?

The world is currently in a constant state of flux due to the ongoing impact of Covid-19. This has resulted in a very busy, if interesting, December quarter.

From elections both here and in the United States, a Brexit deal, and to the relief of much of the world, the announcement of three new Covid-19 vaccines, it was certainly an eventful three months. Despite the news of vaccines, many countries remain in strict lockdown while these are being distributed, and they are continuing to struggle in the current economic climate.

In this quarterly update, Cambridge Partners’ Scott Rainey uses data from the last three years to analyse current activity and seeks to answer this and other questions.

  • How did 2020 end up being a positive year?
  • Why share markets are not the economy…

Grab a coffee and have a look. If you have any questions, please feel free to give Scott or any of our advisers a call on 0800 864 164.
