It’s been a big month for Andrew Nuttall – not only was he the top Kiwi wicket taker in the recent Over 50’s Cricket World Cup – but today he also clocked up 30 years working as a Financial Advisor.
Andrew shares his thoughts on the last three decades with us here:
30 years ago today I commenced my career in financial services. In some ways it was a brave step to move from two salaries to no regular income – particularly with a two month old daughter.
There have been some challenging times but I have always been well supported by family, friends, business colleagues and clients.
Over these years we have seen many changes and more are yet to come. Change has helped us to continue to learn and we have always been motivated to progress and improve so we can provide better service and advice to our clients.
Through the hard work and persistence from staff and business partners we have been agents for change:
- One of the first firms in New Zealand to be fee only and not accept any commissions or brokerage
- A very early adopter of using a multiple asset class investment approach
- The first New Zealand owned firm to gain the CEFEX accreditation from the Centre of Fiduciary Studies
Now Cambridge Partners is possibly New Zealand largest independent financial advisory firm with eight highly qualified and very capable advisers backed by an experienced and motivated support team.
Thank you to all those who have shared this journey. Many more exciting times ahead and achievements to tick off yet!
