Scott Rainey delves into the market performance over the last quarter - and explain why it diverges from economic data.

The first quarter of 2020 will long be remembered for the emergence of Covid-19 and one of the sharpest market falls experienced in history.  However, the second quarter showed the extraordinary resilience of investment markets which rebounded strongly during the three months to 30 June 2020.

Whilst we don’t know what the future holds, we do know that 2020 has already thrown up considerable challenges. Investors have had their mettle well and truly tested.  However, our advice remains the same as in previous periods of uncertainty; ensure your strategy is well diversified, only take the risks that you can tolerate, remain invested and stay the course!
